Low melt agarose is required when extracting DNA or RNA from the gel after nucleic acid electrophoresis, when recovery of the DNA is required for cloning, for example. Benchmark Scientific Agarose LM has a melting point of 65°C, gelling temperature range of 26-30°C and gel strength of 200 g/cm² (at 1%).
Agarose LM has low EEO (electroendosmosis, ≤0.1), allowing for sharp DNA banding and high resolution. Organic solvent, DNase, RNase, and protease free.
