The MultiTherm from Benchmark Scientific is a temperature controlled, multi tube vortexer for use with a variety of molecular biology techniques such as restriction digest, for example.
The Multi-Therm™ is available in two model types: The basic model heats, the upgraded model heats and cools. Both have adjustable speed, temperature and timer and are programmable.
The MultiTherm mini shaker produced a horizontal orbit of 3 mm and has adjustable speed ranging from 200 rpm-1500 rpm, adjustable in increments of 10 rpm. It can also be set not to vortex.
Temperature can be adjusted from 5°C above ambient temperature to 100°C (basic heat only model), or 20°C below ambient temperature to 100°C (upgraded Heat and Cool model), in increments of 0.1°C with a temperature accuracy of ± 1.0°C.
The Multi-Therm heats at a rate of 5.0°C per minute and cools at a rate of 2.5°C per minute.
The timer is adjustable from 1 minute to 99 hours, 99 minutes.
