Description
Polycarbonate 125 mL Erlenmeyer Culture Flask for shaking suspension cultures.
Polycarbonate flasks are autoclavable, and therefore are reusable. PETG flasks are not autoclavable, and therefore are disposable.
Individually packaged. Sterile. Graduated. Vented screw top caps (0.22µm hydrophobic membranes) that allow for sterile exchange of gas. 125 mL capacity (30 mL working volume). Made of high clarity, unbreakable and autoclavable polycarbonate.
12/case.
Celltreat Scientific 125 mL Erlenmeyer flasks are available with plain (flat) or baffled flask bottoms (indentations in the plastic that help better mix and aerate the culture); select in the dropdown menu.
Less expensive than glass and disposable, however they can be washed and autoclaved for reuse. Durable and do not break like glass suspension culture flasks.
Use to culture bacteria like E. coli, the eukaryotic microorganism yeast or mammalian cells using a shaking incubator, for example.
Fernbach flasks have larger shaped bases that provide a greater media surface area for better gas exchange inside the flask. Erlenmeyer flasks are taller and narrower and allow more flasks to fit in the confined space of a shaking incubator.
Excellent cost saving alternative to Corning® 125 mL Polycarbonate Erlenmeyer Flask with Vent Cap (Cat # 431143 & 431405).
Celltreat Cat # 229821 (plain bottoms), 229823 (baffled bottoms).
