The Beadbug microtube tissue homogenizer has a small footprint and price tag. Perform uniform homogenization at the push of a button, rather than the old fashioned way using a douncer or tissue grinder. Plus no sample cross contamination from using the douncer or tissue homogenizer for tissue lysis of multiple samples.
The BeadBug microtube tissue homogenizer disrupts tissue placed in disposable 2.0 mL screwtop minitubes, prefilled with microbeads, in about 45 seconds, by means of high velocity impact with the microbeads, induced by ultra rapid shaking.
Microbeads come in three different materials: Standard glass; Triple Pure, Molecular Biology Grade, High Impact Zirconium; and Stainless Steel, and come in several bead diameters. Click here to view microbeads.
Unit can accept three (3) tubes at once, has an adjustable speed range of 2800 rpm to 4000 rpm and a timer set-able from 3 seconds to 3 minutes.
