81 place cardboard freezer boxes are good for use with 0.5 mL, 1.5 mL and 2.0 mL minicentrifuge tubes and 1 mL to 2 mL (e.g. 1.8 mL) internally- and externally-threaded cryovials.
81-place boxes are recommended for externally-threaded 1 mL to 2 mL cryovials, as some externally-threaded cryovials are a little too wide to fit well into 100-place boxes, which are available for purchase here.
