Description
The Accuris Small UV Transilluminator has a viewing surface of 16.5 x 13.5 cm, compared to the larger model that has a viewing surface of 26 x 21 cm.
Use the Accuris compact UV transilluminator to analyze bands of DNA that have been separated by agarose gel electrophoresis, and stained with ethidium bromide (EtBr), SYBR Green or Accuris SmartGlow, for genotyping purposes, for example.
The scratch-resistant ultraviolet filter glass provides 302 nm UV light (300-312 nm range). A hinged, UV-protective acrylic lens allows the user to position the lens at an angle and view the illuminated gel safely while allowing access to the gel for band excision.
The small UV transilluminator has only one UV intensity level (i.e. on and off), unlike the larger model, which allows the user to adjust the light intensity with a knob (i.e. variable adjustment).
